Our beliefs are rooted in Carl Rogers’ Theory which believes that humans have one basic motive; to fulfil one's potential and achieve the highest level of ‘human-beingness' we can. The potential of each individual is unique, and we are meant to develop in different ways according to our personality. He believed that people are inherently good and creative and the mental health related problem occurs when there is incongruence in who they would like to be with their actual behaviour which is their self-image.
